Magazine Front Cover Research

After doing further research into the magazine industry I was beginning to look at other types of film magazines and the codes and conventions that they used, I did this by looking at specifically ‘Empire’ magazine, this is as this magazine is one of the most popular film magazines in the market at the moment and is considered to be very successful so must be doing something right in terms of the codes and conventions that it uses. 

After looking at this for a while I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to create something that is the standard magazine and not be able to create it very well, so I started looking at other magazines. I came across ‘Little White Lies’ magazine, which is also another very successful film magazine but is completely different from the standard magazine as the codes and conventions that it uses are completely different. I am now going to look at front covers from this magazine as I believe this is the route that I want to go down.
